The key advice I would give to budding entrepreneurs is that you really need to think of what you want to do, why you want to do it, and with whom you want to work. This obviously is only a first step – starting a business involves a lot of planning.
You then need to prepare a business plan with contingencies for the unexpected, including a back-up source of revenue. It’s important that this plan is implemented consistently. Then set yourself achievable long-term and short-term goals and take expert advice wherever possible – you need to know your industry inside out.
Successful planning and good start will give you more opportunities, sooner than you think. It’s only natural to think about broadening your product or service portfolio. We have extended the company focus and are now becoming a broad-ranging staffing and recruitment agency providing manual, skilled, office and management personnel from Britain and many other countries.
A key lesson I have learnt on my business journey is that perseverance is priceless. Starting a business is never easy. You will make mistakes, but be sure that you then learn from these experiences, and play better!
